Three Stages of Water Tank Filtration

When collecting rainwater a pre-filter removes the large and initial dirt filled water from the roof and gutters. Several types of filters can be used in conjunction with each other for cleaner water. 

Using a Floating in tank filter or a submersible pump with a floating filter draws the cleanest water from the top of the tank, leaving the sediment at the bottom undisturbed. 

Triple Stage Water Disinfection Units include NSF component listed Sediment and Charcoal filtration cartridges.  NSF 55 includes both Class "A" systems, which require a minimum UV dose of 40mj, for use with waters that are assumed to be contaminated, and Class "B" systems, which require a dose of 16mj. Class "B" systems are only intended to provide supplemental disinfection of non-pathogenic nuisance organisms on water supplies that are otherwise considered potable.
